What is Alar reduction?

Large nostrils
If your nostrils have little flesh, but your nostrils look wide because of your large nostrils, you may need partial nostril reduction and suturing. Some of the flesh on the nostrils is removed and sutured.

Wide lower nostrils
If you don’t have a lot of flesh on your nostrils or a large nostril, but the bottom of your nostrils are wide and make your nostrils look wide. Make a small incision at the bottom of the nostril and pull the nostrils together with a thread.

Precautions after surgery
Postoperative care after Alar reduction
- Apply cold compresses on the day of surgery and the following day to reduce swelling.
- You can wash your face and apply makeup on the third postoperative day.
- It is recommended to keep your heart higher than the surgical site.
- Avoid drinking and smoking for one month after surgery.
